Tokyo is a city with many landmarks and beautiful bridges. At the same time, there are many beautiful rivers in Tokyo’s 23 Special Wards, including the Sumida River and Arakawa River.
However, most of the famous bridges are over the Sumida River. One of the most popular bridges over Sumida is Azumabashi Bridge.
Azumabashi Bridge connects Asakusa and Sumida City near Asahi Beer Tower.
It’s so famous that people from around the world come here to take nice photos. The scene here combines Tokyo Skytree, Asahi Beer Tower, Asahi Beer Hall’s golden cloud-shaped Flamme d’Or, River Pier Azumabashi Life Tower, and Sumida City Office.

Tokyo is home to some beautiful bridges, and Rainbow Bridge is one of the best. Located on the Monorail Yurikamome Line between Shibaura-Futo and Odaiba Kaihinkoen Station in Minato City.
There are extra pathways on both sides for pedestrians. But it takes about 45 minutes to cross the bridge on foot.

It has two decks, Upper Deck and Lower Deck.
Upper Deck has 4 lanes, 2 lanes per direction. On the other hand, Lower Deck has pedestrian walkways, Monorail Yurikamome Line, and Tokyo Prefectural Route.

On the other hand, the southern walkway provides Christle-clear views of Tokyo Bay. However, it’s open for pedestrians only from 9:00-21:00 in the summer and 10:00 to 18:00 in the winter.
If you want to walk through, be there 30 minutes before closing hours. You take your bicycle pushing, but you can’t ride on it.
Because of the fences, you may not get nice photos if you have big cameras. However, I’m sure you’ll see stunning views from the bridge.
The bridge looks painted in the evening because of its rainbow lightning pattern. Therefore, it’s an interesting attraction not to be missed.

Besides, it has a long history. Both sides of the park are famous as Sumida Park, packed with 1,000 Cherry trees. According to historical records, these trees were planted during the Edo Period.
In April, during the Cherry Blossoms, the bridge is always crowded with visitors. It’s so famous that visitors don’t get space to stand up near the bridge during the Fireworks Festival season.

When in Tokyo, don’t forget to check out the beautiful Two-tiered Bridge (Ni-ju Bashi), located in Tokyo Imperial Palace! The structure is a popular spot for photo shooting, and it’s easy to get to by foot from Tokyo Station.
It’s a part of the Imperial Palace. Security guards don’t allow visitors to reach the bridge for security purposes.
However, I’m sure you’ll get fantastic shots.
Besides, it has easy access from any downtown Tokyo area. You’ll see the palace in your pictures on the top of the bridge.

Have you ever heard about Kikuyanagi Bridge?
Probably not. But if you browse Tokyo’s Cherry Blossom spots, you’ll see some great photos of the spot.
Kikuyanagi Bridge is over Oyoko River at the end of Oyokogawa Shinsui Park.
For your information, Oyokogawa Shinsui Park started from Tokyo Skytree towards Kinshicho. It’s a beautiful pedestrian park.
So, if you want to wish, you can walk through the park straight to the Kikuyanagi Bridge to see the beautiful Cherry Blossom in March.

Probably you’ve heard about the Kameido Tenjin Shrine. It’s one of Tokyo’s 10 most famous Shrines, especially for Inter-school exams.
This shrine has a few good two drum-shaped bridges. Both bridges are wonderful.
In a word, in a small place, a great design that people usually can’t imagine a such scenario. During the Wisteria season, these two bridges get crowded 24 hours.
The surrounding area is an old Tokyo area. So if you’ve time to spend, you can roam around. Besides, Kameido Katori Shrine and Kameido Central Park are only 5 minutes on foot from here.
Kameido Katori Shrine is famous for Kachiya Festival. On the other hand, Kameido Central Park is renowned for early Sakura, fishing, and boat rowing.

Nihonbashi Bridge is a historic bridge in Tokyo.
It’s a typed arch bridge. But it’s just a footbridge at first over the river with wood.
A few such types of suspension bridges were made in the early Showa Period in Tokyo. Among these bridges were Nihonbashi Hakozaki, Chuo-ku saga, and Eitaibashi Bridge.
No matter suspension, arch type,e or wooden bridge, the glory of Nihonbashi is no more visible nowadays. Down is water, and above the highway, you can’t see anything here.
However, I have good news for you. If you like the beautiful historic Nihonbashi wooden Bridge, head to Edo-Tokyo Museum in Sumida or the Haneda Airport.

Chidorigafuchi Bridge:
The full name of the bridge is Chidorigachi Expressway Inner Circular Bridge. It’s located at Imperial Moat.
During the Cherry Blossom festival, it becomes a great photo spot.
It’s just in the middle of Chidorigafuchi National Cemetery, Chidorigafuchi Moat, and Daikonocho-Dori.
Most of the tourists click on the scene. However, it’s the right spot to stop here for a few minutes for those who come out from Chidorigachi Park.
Of course, those who go out from Chidorigachi Lake towards Yasukuni Shrine and Nippon Budokan miss it.
If you’re in Ginza, you can visit it easily. It’s just a few minutes on foot.

Sumida River runs 27 km, and it has 26 bridges over it. Some of the bridges are great for photo shoots.
Chuo Ohashi Bridge is a nice bridge over the Sumida River. It’s just between Tsukuda Bridge and Eitai Bridge.
If you’ve already visited the Rainbow Bridge probably, you’ll realize it looks a little bit similar because of its wires. You’ll be happy to know that Chuo Ohashi Bridge was completed on the same day the Rainbow Bridge construction was finished on August 26, 1993.
Moreover, it’s a nice spot to see the cruise and Skytree from the bridge. Besides, there’s a nice park nearby the bridge, and you can see far toward Skytree.
