What’s Tokyo Dome?
Tokyo Dome is a baseball games stadium in Bunkyo City. It was built on the Velodrome site, adjacent to the predecessor ballpark, Korakuen Stadium, which can hold 57,000 spectators.
Moreover, it’s the home stadium of a famous Japanese professional baseball team called Yomiuri Giants.
Later, the attractions were built in the stadium’s surroundings. So, altogether, it became really a massive entertainment complex in Tokyo.
The area used to be known as Korakuen, named after the former baseball stadium. But the real name came after Koishikawa Korakuen, a beautiful Japanese landscape garden nearby.
Nikken Sekkei and Takenaka Corporation developed the site and started construction on May 16, 1985, and it opened for the public on March 17, 1988. It is also familiar as Big Egg because of its egg-shaped structure.

If you are thinking about unlimited rides, then there is a one-day passport which costs ¥ 1,800-4,200.
Thunder Dolphin:
The ticket price is ¥ 1,200.
Thunder Dolphin’s other name is Tokyo Dome City Roller Coaster. It is a roller coaster, but the site named it Thunder Dolphin because of its action. The dolphin mark is on the coaster.
Do you know why Tokyo Dome City Thunder Dolphin is famous and why the ticket is so expensive?
Well, it is the best ride among all attractions. It offers several tremendous thrills to the riders. Human nature loves the thrill.
It has a 130 km speed per hour and 80 degrees drop.
Can you imagine the speed of it? Rider experience flying in space like a kite.
Big O:

Big O!
A nice name.
The Ferris Wheel on the site is called BIG O.
Riders fly through BIG O. Both attraction riders shout in thrill during Thunder Dolphin pass through BIG O.
LaQua is a high building, and Thunder Dolphins go through the hole. However, it is even more thrilling than going through the BIG O.
People who visit never miss riding it for such thrilling experiences. This is such a thrill ride in Tokyo, where people get exciting adventures.
It is not famous as Kasai Rinkai Ferris Wheel or Odaiba Ferris Wheel. However, it is one of the most famous attractions in Tokyo Dome City.
LaQua:
Laqua is a part of the site.
It has many restaurants, shops, massage salons, and cafes. So, people only not enjoy delicious food here but also receive
various massage services here.
It is probably the less busy part of the attraction. But, there is no guarantee.
LaQua was opened in 2003 and designed with several popular relaxing features and facilities.
For example, it has natural hot spring pools, relaxing spaces, and saunas. Besides, LaQua has several types of beauty services.

Super Viking SORABUNE is one of the most popular rides. Young people like riding it because of its challenging moves.
The ship-shaped Viking has tremendous moves front and back. But, at the same time, it goes up and down, making the riders excited.

The ship looks like standing when we see it from near. It is amazing.

However, it is not enough to say how famous it is if one does not see it.
There is always a long queue in front of the Gallery AaMo entrance from the morning to the afternoon.
Restaurants:
The site has plenty of restaurants. What do you like? Chinese, Mexican, American, Japanese Ramen, Thai? Bar? Everything.

Besides, there is STARBUCKS, Seven-Eleven, and Lawson, where people can buy snacks, coffees, and soft drinks.
In addition, there is a big food court.
But, very congested. Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays, people overflow here. People start eating lunch at 11:00.
If you are single or without small kids is okay. But if you are with kids or a group, then it may not be easy to get a chance to eat in the food court in time.
People try to find out seats while others are eating, or they wait for seats standing outside of the food court.
Interesting, is not it?
But the good point is the food in the food court restaurants is wonderfully delicious. That is why people do not want to miss it and get overcrowded.
Dome Hotel:
Tokyo Dome City Hotel is one of the best hotels in Tokyo. It has several facilities, such as eight restaurants and bars, currency exchange, services, a business center, luggage storage, concierge, and spa services.

One of my special recommendations while you are at Dome City is to visit Koishikawa Korakuen Garden. The garden is a beautiful Japanese landscape garden from the early Edo Period.
It has vast accommodation to enjoy nature. Visitors can experience some of the Edo elements in the garden.
Besides, the garden also hosts several events and flower festivals.
The best way to check the flower festival is through Twitter. Many visitors post on their Twitter about the festival.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy the garden, too.
