Interestingly, the official name of the Kasai Park wheel is the ‘Diamond and Flowers Ferris Wheel.’ It’s called ‘Daiya to Hana no Daikanransha’ in Japanese. 

As its name, it looks like a sparkling diamond flower.

The access to the wheel is very straightforward. People can direct get off on the spot.

Besides, it’s also easy to access from Tokyo Disney Resort, only one station away by JR Keiyo Line.

It was the world’s second tallest Ferris wheel during its completion in 2001. However, later Sky Dream Fukuoka surpassed after a few months. But after closing the Sky Dream Fukuoka in September 2009, Kasai Park Wheel became the tallest Ferris Wheel in Japan.

But, the Redhorse Osaka Wheel at the Expocity Shopping Mall in Suita, located in Osaka, started operation in July 2016.

The Redhorse Osaka Wheel became the tallest wheel in Japan, 123 meters high, with 72 gondolas.

Besides, the Redhorse Osaka Wheel takes one more minute longer than the Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel, which means it takes full 18 minutes to complete one rotation.

However, it’s the second tallest Ferris Wheel in Japan and the tallest in Tokyo, which is 117 meters high, taking 17 minutes for a complete rotation with 68 gondolas.

And the Odaiba Pallet Town Ferris Wheel is the second in Tokyo, which is 115 meters high, taking 16 minutes for a rotation with 64 gondolas.
