Nerima ward is one of the 23 wards of Tokyo, located in central Tokyo. The neighborhood is known as Nerima City. It is also familiar to the foreigner as Nerima Tokyo that has numerous tourist spots.

The Nerima ward is bordering Itabashi to the east, Nakano, Suginami, and Toshima ward to the south.

Shakujii Park:
The name ‘Shukujii’ came from the Japanese Town Shakujii. It is one of the famous largest parks in the Tokyo Metropolis.
There are two ponds Shanpo-ji and Shakuji pond, many small Shinto shrines, and the Shakuji Castle remainings.
The castle, which is only remaining ruins now, was built in the Kamakura period 1185-1333, and the owner of the castle was the Toshima clan.
The Toshima clan was destroyed by Ota Dokan, who built Edo Castle.
There is a big festival name Teruhime Festival.
Besides, there are some more parks here, such as Hikarigaoka Park, Oizumi Chuo Park, Musashiseki, and Johoku-Chuo Park.
It has Toshimaen Museum, Ward at Museum and
Iwasaki Chihiro museum.

Nihon University Ekoda Campus,
and Sophia University Shakujii Campus is located here.
