Toneri Park is located in Adachi. It is the third biggest park in Tokyo’s 23 Special Wards. But, at the same time, it is not only big but beautiful too.
It is a popular destination for sports, picnics, cycling, running, fishing, and nature-loving people. It is clean, and dogs are not allowed to run alone. But it has a particular field called Dog Run.
The park has good facilities for car parking. Besides, the park is very close to Toneri-Koen Station on the Nippori-Toneri Line.

The park was opened to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Emperor Hirohito’s ascension in 1981.

Fishing:

Toneri Park has a big lake with perfect fishing facilities. There is a wooden bridge on the bank of the lake. So, people can go fishing without any worries about getting wet.

In the last week of March and the first week of April, the BBQ spot covers with charming Cherry flowers like other parts of the park.

However, for barbeques, people need a booking for barbeques equipment. The park’s barbeque office provides all the barbeque equipment on the spot.
Kids Slider:
Among the children who do not like fun, especially doing sliders? Probably, hard to find such kids. Toneri Park has a particular spot for the slider.
It is familiar as Building Man Park Sledding. It is one kind of artificial Turf Slope with 20 degrees, with 44 meters width sledding.
The slider is safe for kids, and the staff provides proper advice on doing the slider. Usually, it is the busiest spot for parents to line for the slider.
The children aged 3-12 can enjoy sledding. However, kids 3-6 years old are not allowed to do sledding alone, and someone has to be with the kid to avoid the risk of falling.
Hours of sledding are 10:00-16:00. However, there is a one-hour lunch break.
Jab Jab Pond:
In Japanese, it is pronounced Jabu Jabu.
Jab Jab Pond is an outdoor pool for kids. This pool at Toneri Park is one of Tokyo’s biggest free outdoor pools where children play without an admission fee.
It was built in a way that seems like a big rock island, and there is a lovely tiny water slide from the top of the island where children slide down.
However, some adults play with their kids and enjoy the pool at the park. It is one of the best facilities in Adachi City.
Rope Slider:
Rope Slider is the second famous game in Toneri Park. All ages of children try it because it is fun going from one side to another side holding the big rope.
Parents stay in the queue with their kids. However, it is better to help the kids to hold the rope and jump.
Rope Climbing:
Another busiest place of the park is the small iron cage climbing and Rope Climbing corner. It is fun watching how kids climb here and enjoy.
Most of the kids do not want to leave the place and keep climbing again and again. It is one of the unique corners of Toneri Park.
Fountains:
There are artificial fountains and rocky streams where kids can play with water. There are lovely trees on both sides of the streams, which protect kids from hot weather.
But, the park does not keep flowing water in the winter. Usually, streams flow during the Summer—no matter whether it is winter or Summer, children like playing here.
Sports:
Toneri Park Tennis Court area is vast. There are 14 courts here.
The park has several sports facilities, especially for football and tennis. Kids or adults can play safely inside the fenced fields.
At the same time, the whole green park is a soccer field for the kids. It is free and safe. Kids can play without any doubt.
Besides, it is an excellent place for playing kites, cycling, jogging, and running.
Festivals:
Among the festivals, the Thousand Cherry Blossoms Festival is very famous in Toneri Park. The festival is also called Senbonzakura.
The park holds the Thousand Cherry Blossoms Festival on April 4, as it is a place for 1,000 cherry trees. Many people attend every year in the festival. Many things are sold, and children can play with living small animals at the stalls.
Besides, there is a hilltop inside the park, familiar as an observatory of Toneri Park. Visitors can enjoy lovely views of Adachi Ward from the hilltop.
There are benches on the hilltop where people can sit and enjoy the beautiful view of the park and the area.
Surroundings:
Myorenji Inari Shrine and Banshindo Temple are very close to the park.
It is recommended that non-Japanese go there to view the different patterns of Japanese tiny houses and buildings.
