Roppongi Hills Christmas Market 2023 is one of Tokyo’s most popular winter events, starting on November 6, 2023, at Roppongi Hills. The event is known for its stunning winter illumination along Keyakizaka Street, featuring approximately 800,000 LED lights over a 400m stretch. It creates a ‘SNOW & BLUE’ themed spectacle with views of Tokyo Tower in the background, a favorite for photographers.
Additionally, it hosts one of Tokyo’s largest and oldest German-style Christmas Markets at Oyane Plaza, offering festive decorations, traditional music, and authentic food and drinks. In the previous year, this illumination attracted over 7 million visitors.

The market is small compared to other countries. However, most visitors compare Roppongi Christmas Market with Stuttgart, one of the oldest and largest Christmas markets in Europe with more than 300 years of tradition.
The venue holds thousands of various Christmas-related items, including Christmas home decor, ornaments, cards, photos, and dresses.
