Nanushi meaning:
The park has a deep meaning which should be discussed first.
The park belonged to a headman (Nanushi), who was from the Hatano family. Nanushi means Headman and Taki means waterfall, together Nanushi no Taki is ‘waterfall of the headman.’ But people called it Nanushi no Taki Garden.

However, a businessman, name, Tokusaburo Kakiuchi, bought the garden in the late 19th century for business purposes. He tried to make it natural by placing elements such as stones, bridges, and maple trees.
The garden was built during the Edo Period and remaining in the same concept. Visitors can sense the ideas of Edo people looking at the garden’s design.
Now it is a garden of Kita City municipal, and the city takes care of it. The headman who designed it and the businessman, Tokusaburo Kakiuchi, who modified it, both had a very excellent sense of nature.
What tourists can enjoy:
There are four waterfalls here. Among the four, Otoko-daki is the largest waterfall. All waterfall offer clean water, which pleases the visitors.
Besides, Nanushi no Taki Garden is a good place where people can enjoy Cherry blossom viewing during the Cherry blossom since many cherries are in the garden.
If you go from the Oji station or Oji Inari Shrine, you will arrive at the first entrance, which looks like a Shrine gate( I put it as a featured image). As soon as you cross the gate, you will find a pond and many cherries around it.
Besides, there benches around the pond and a map of the garden. It has dense trees, bridges, rocky paths, a clean stream, waterfalls, and a quiet environment.
In short, Nanushi no Taki Garden is impressive and special in Tokyo.
