Kameido Central Park is located in Kameido, Koto Ward,Tokyo. The park is also familiar as Kameido Chuo Park, situated on the bank of the beautiful Kyunaka River.
Various types of flowers bloom in the park throughout the year. It is only two minutes walk from Kameido Mizukami(Tobu-Kameido Line).
Kameido Central Park was open to the public on June 1, 1980. It has 103,026.70 square meters area, divided into three sections: A, B, and C.
The A section has a nice clock tower with kids’ playground equipment, designed for kids mainly.
The B section is located between the A and C sections. It is pleasant with many Cherry, Plum, and Sasanqua trees surrounding the artificial rocky stream, making the area perfect for relaxing in nature and doing a picnic.
The C section has various purposes, such as a Sasanqua corner, Office, Children’s playground, multipurpose ball game plaza, and tennis courts.
Cherry viewing:
Kameido Central Park is a place of playgrounds and relaxation with many seasonal flowers and leaves changing trees. For example, it has Sasanqua, Satozakura, Yoshino Cherry tree, apricot, Camellia, plum, metasequoia, etc.
From Mid-February up to March, plums bloom, and from late March to early April, Cherries bloom in the park. Mainly the B section and C section become very beautiful with Cherry flowers.
In addition, next to Kameido Central Park, on the Kyunaka River, Kyunakagawamizube Park looks fantastic during the Cherry blossom.
Besides, the former Nakagawa Kawazu Cherry Blossom Park is another side of the Kyunaka River, a fantastic place of early Kawazu cherry blossom.
Jagging:
Tokyo is a busy place, and people do not get time for running or jogging. But, on the other hand, even though people get time, they do not find a place.
But, the Kameido Chuo Park is the perfect place for jogging. People also can run their dogs and go cycling around.
At the same time, the artificial rocky stream is one of the best places for kids to play around. In addition, it has a nice bridge where kids like walking.
In a word, the park is excellent.
