Unicorn Gundam Statue in Odaiba is located in Shiokaze Park outside the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, Odaiba, Koto City, Tokyo. It is the landmark statue of Odaiba.
It is only a 6-minute from Daiba Station (Yurikamome Monorail) via Exit 1B and a 7-minute walk from Tokyo Teleport Station(Rinkai Line).
In short, Unicorn Gundam Statue is just in the middle point of Miraikan, the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, and the Palette Town Ferris Wheel.

History:
The first Unicorn Gundam Statue in Odaiba was unveiled on July 10, 2009, as part of the Green Tokyo Gundam Project during Mobile Suit Gundam’s 30th Anniversary.
It was the RX-78-2 Gundam.
The RX-78-2 Gundam was a 1:1 scale model, 59 feet tall with weighing 35 tons, made of fiberglass and reinforced plastic over a steel frame, and several points around its body display 50 lights.
Unlike the more recent Gundam, it was not displayed in front of DiverCity Tokyo—because DiverCity Tokyo didn’t even exist back then!
The first Unicorn Gundam Statue was displayed in Shiokaze Park in Odaiba. Unlike not in front of DiverCity Tokyo because DiverCity Tokyo did not exist in 2009.
However, more surprisingly, about 4.15 million people visited the statue within two months.
Later, DiverCity Tokyo was built, and Unicorn Gundam Statue was placed there.
But the Gundam RX-78-2 left Odaiba in March 2017, saddening its fans.
After that, however, the Unicorn Gundam Statue in Odaiba returned, transforming into the new life-sized RX-0 Unicorn Gundam on September 23, 2017.
The RX-0 is about 65 feet tall and weighs 49 tons.
Two modes:
The RX-0 has some fantastic new features that the RX-78-2 did not have.
For example, it can switch two modes Unicorn mode to Destroyer mode. Furthermore, it switches its modes several times every day.
The Unicorn mode with a single horn on its head and Destroyer mode reveal the hidden light panels of the body.
The armor plates on its head retract and change. And at night, the RX-0 glows brightly in 50 different spots.
Besides, fans can enjoy the RX-0 projections of Gundam anime clips on the exterior of DiverCity with fantastic Gundam theme songs.

The illumination starts at 17:00 and lasts till 23:00.
